Frequently Asked Questions

(FAQ)

What are store returns?
People return merchandise for many different reasons. The item they returned may have been the wrong size, color, didn't have features they expected, may have been defective, may have been exchanging a present, may have a scratch or dent, etc. Just because an item has been returned does not necessarily mean it is damaged, although many returns are damaged in some way. Some may have slight damage, and some may be trash.

How much damage will I get?
Damage varies from pallet to pallet and truckload to truckload. There is no way to say exactly how much damage you will get, but as a general rule you can expect an average of 30% damage on returned merchandise.

What classifies new merchandise?
New merchandise can be overstocks, markdowns, closeouts, shelf pulls, etc. Most of these items are in good working condition and in original packaging, but not all. You may see some damaged packaging, or have some freight damage, but for the most part new is new.

Who pays for shipping?
The buyer is responsible for all freight charges.

How much is shipping?
Shipping varies depending on where you are located, and what you are shipping. Pallet shipping is based on weight and truckload shipping is based on distance. We can arrange all shipping for you, or you can arrange it yourself. Give us a call and we can get you a freight quote.

Can I order over the phone?
Yes, we do take phone orders with payment by bank wire transfer before merchandise is shipped.

Is there a minimum order?
No minimum to buy!

Do I need a tax exemption number?
Yes. Please bring a copy of your tax certificate, if available.

Can I come see the merchandise?
As far as pallets go, yes. You are always welcome to come to our warehouse in Tennessee, where we keep over 2,000 pallets in stock. As far as truckloads are concerned, most of our trailer loads are located at different return centers nation wide, where they do NOT allow walk-ins. They are distribution points only. If the truckload is located in our warehouse, you are more than welcome to come and see it.

Is the merchandise manifested?
Some merchandise is manifested and some is not. It depends on what store or catalog that it came from.

What is a manifest?
A manifest is a listing of what is on a particular pallet or truckload along with the wholesale or retail of each item and quantities.

What does F.O.B. mean?
F.O.B. stands for freight on board. That is what state the load is located in. You are responsible for freight charges from that location to yours.

Is any of your merchandise guaranteed?
No. We are in the salvage business. We make no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, and without limitation, of merchandise fitness or marketability. All sales are final.

Do I have to deface the merchandise?
Yes. All merchandise must be defaced and de-tagged. Contact us for details on defacing.

Do I need a dock to order pallets or truckloads shipped to me?
No. Approximately half of our customers do not have docks. No big deal. Just have plenty of help to unload.

Does the truck driver help me unload?
Absolutely NOT! The truck driver just drives. You are fully responsible for unloading your own merchandise. For truck load orders, you have up to 2 HOURS TO UNLOAD. For pallet orders, you must unload IMMEDIATELY.

What do I need to bring with me if I come to pick my pallets?
You must bring your tax exemption number. Also, if you are coming with a pick up truck or trailer, bring rope to tie your merchandise down, and a tarp to cover your merchandise.

What methods of payment do you accept?
Over the phone, bank wire transfer. For walk-ins, cash or certified funds. We DO NOT accept personal or business checks OR Credit Cards.

Can we have merchandise shipped?
Absoutley, we ship pallets and truckloads.
